1. What we collect
- Display name — the name you enter to play. Stored in our database alongside your scores.
- Session token — a random string we generate and store in your browser's
localStorage. We use it to recognise you across visits so your best score and history are preserved. It is not a password and grants no access to anything beyond your in-game profile. - IP address — captured automatically by our server access logs for security and abuse prevention. Logs are rotated and deleted after 30 days.
- Game scores and gameplay data — your score, mode (solo / public / private), game duration, and timestamp.
2. Cookies and local storage
SnakQ itself does not set any first-party cookies. We use your browser's localStorage to remember your name and session token. Google AdSense (described below) does set advertising cookies.
3. Google AdSense
SnakQ displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and advertising identifiers to serve personalised ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review and adjust how Google personalises ads to you at Google Ad Settings. For details on how Google handles data from its partners, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
4. Data retention
Game scores are kept indefinitely so that leaderboards remain meaningful over time. Player records that have been inactive for 12 months are deleted automatically, including their scores.
5. We do not sell your data
SnakQ does not sell, rent, or trade personal data to third parties. The only third-party service that processes any data on this site is Google AdSense, for the purpose of serving ads.
6. GDPR / CCPA rights
If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email hello@scrapiq.in from the address you'd like the request linked to and we'll respond within 30 days.
